Can someone tell me if a C player qualifies in A with an "A" partner, can the C player go on to play in the finals in A B or C?

Do you mean the COPC Jilly? If so then you only need to have a 50%+ game to qualify to play in the Natiional Final. Here is a link to the COC. http://cbf.ca/files/...cs/11COPCON.pdf

I don't see any mention of flights in the COC, so I think Jilly's question is moot. The list of past winners also doesn't list winners in different flights.

Ah, its the North American Pairs and I think I have found the answer

http://www.acbl.org/...nsofContest.pdf

Partnerships consisting of an A player and a C player must enter the event as a Flight A pair. If the pair qualifies in the Flight A strat or event, the Flight A player is eligible for the next stage in the Flight A event only. The Flight C player is eligible for the next stage in the Flight A, Flight B and Flight C events.

The NAP COC are at

http://www.acbl.org/...nsofContest.pdf

It has a section on Flight-Mixed Partnerships:

Quote

Partnerships consisting of an A player and a C player must enter the event as a Flight A pair. If the pair qualifies in the Flight A strat or event, the Flight A player is eligible for the next stage in the Flight A event only. The Flight C player is eligible for the next stage in the Flight A, Flight B and Flight C events.

So now I am looking for a good C player to compete in this. The district finals are at the Vancouver Sectional in November.
