Hi,

Pass.

Regarding your thoughs: Ax vs. Kx is duplication, so neither card is pulling full weight.
And if you are a believer in the Law, the honors in their suit are downgrading factors.
They have a 9 card fit, you will have a 8 card fit, but the 8 card fit may turn out to be
clubs.

I dont think X is terrible and can work out, but it is a call with a -EV, which you can do,
if you need a swing.

With kind regard

It seems almost impossible partner has Ax of Hearts .. that hand is a takeout double. So either RHO raised on 2 (not impossible on BBO) or partner has something like AQ doubleton of hearts and bad spades - and he thought 2NT was most descriptive.

In either case .. we are facing terrible duplication in the heart suit .. its hard to believe we are making anything. Pass seems best and hope they go down.
If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it then how bad a decision could it really be?
