Another way to improve this auction is to play partner's continuations over 2 as invitational+ transfers. Then we might have bid either

2-3
3-4
5-pass

or

2-3
3-4
4-6
pass
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Ooops, you're right. I was trying to make the point that 6D is probably superior to 6NT but I got the example wrong. Still, it stumbled into what might be an even more important point: overcaller needs not have 2 aces.
