Has anyone ever thought of this idea? After a minor opening and 1♥ response, having Opener in essence use a Kaplan Inversion?
I worked up a basic framework for the simple auctions on my blog, in case you are interested.

"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

I can see how it works great when you bid 1♠ showing a balanced limit bid. What happens after 1NT which, presumably, is spades, but unlimited and not necessarily even semi-balanced?

Responder attempts to sign off in 2H or 3m opposite the assumed 1NT rebid. What now?
