wow. Ken (R.) do you have some relatives living in Enschede?

Favourable at matchpoints, you have

KTxx
AQ
KQ
xxxxx.

Nothing so interesting so far. RHO deals+opens 1 alerted by LHO. Their card says "0+ clubs, denies a 5 card major". 1 promises 4, 1M promises 5.

So it goes

1-p-1-p
1NT-p-p-X

partner always likes to balance vs 1NT (religious readers of my threads will remember), still not that unusual. BTW what would you lead against 1NT?

1-p-1-p
1NT-p-p-X
2-2-3-p
p-??

WTF?

Anyway, I guess you will pass, what do you lead? Results

Spoiler

... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I cannot know what is going on, but some further inquiry would be fine. 5540 openings is inconsistent since with void in clubs (or singleton) you have at least one other opening avaible,

Final decision needs a lot of understanding on what partner´s got, with a sane partner I would bid something, not sure if double or 3. if double on 1NT is takeout mainly I´d bid 3.

I would lead a spade.

sure that is one way to interpret it (hence my kenrexford reference - he sometimes opens 1 even with 2272!), but actually after the hand my partner was curious what their methods were and they didn't really know when they open 1 and when 1 with long diamonds. it was also not specified on their card.
