Yes, I was the only one of the 10 human Souths to not bid 3 directly over 2; I do not remember why.

now my understanding of GIB
is new suits are forcing for one round, unless only majors are non forcing....this auction is one that seems to
come up with novices unless you are playing it as non forcing.

I have since i first started playing in 70's always thought it was 100% forcing

Can you bid 2NT as both minors at the second bid or is it still 15-17 NT?

i If you use Unusual 2NT, Direct jump to 2NT over an opponent’s opening or overcalling bid, to show the two lowest-ranking unbid suits with at least 5 cards in each suit. no HCP required Is this correct?

No, this was already answered above. Over a weak two it would be natural with stopper, 16-19 or some similar range.

2N = "Unusual notrump overcall -- 5+ ; 5+ ; 3- ; 3- ; 14-18 total points; forcing"

Are you saying that the robot bids differently when it has a robot partner? Because in OP's example, the robot passed its partner's 2S bid.

Maybe OP was playing against advanced robots. I wasn't.
