This was one of a few bad slam decisions last night. IMPS, 30 point victory scale, round robin.

Hi,

you have a 24HCP slam, where you basically need everything, except the Jack of spades,
also the shape fits nicely, since the spades will provide only one discard.

If this is a bad slam decision on your side, than play the team again.

So no blame, and before you start to discuss the effect of the preempt, try to come up with
a seq, that keeps you out of slam, when East has a spade single and 4 diamonds, with opponents
silent.

With kind regards
Marlowe
