Doomsayer isn't about removing board, it's about killing momentum. I don't know if you've played a lot of standard but it's currently run in most non-aggro decks. The idea is if you play it T2 after they play a 1-drop, they skip their turn 2 and then you get on board and have initiative.

One of the problems of this deck is when you don't get alarm-o-bot, all your taunts arrive a turn late. But if they come after doomsayer, that's no problem, since I'll get to attack before you get to attack.

Or they just play a jewelled scarab or similar and don't worry about losing the 1/1.

If I started seeing a lot of doomsayers in standard, I'd probably add crazed alchemists to my deck.

There are, and people do. At least Zoo now techs an alchemist (and control decks already run 1-2 stampeding kodo)

A long time ago there was a discussion about what arena deck would go 12 wins if it had 30 copies of one card. The conclusion was that swipe was the one.

What's with these Tavern Brawl decks full of terrible neutral cards? Especially for this one, they should have put a higher bias towards class cards in there.

This brawl has been taking the piss on the RNG. Well ahead, 10 mana stage at which point my oppo draws 9 cards in a row that cost 5 or more, I draw one that cost more than 2.

3 games I never drew a card mulligan or later that cost less than 6 and was dead before I played anything I drew in some of those.

Shifter Zerus is kind of fun, it was the first legendary I opened of the set (the second was Nat, the Darkfisher :().
You can cram it in control decks and it creates some funny moments eventually. Not a good card by any stretch.

Zerus won me a tavern brawl last night, thanks for the BGH.

Was also the first legendary I opened from this set.

It was a long time ago now, but back in classic I drafted a deck with 7(!!!) Swipes. From memory I got 4 pretty early in the draft so I managed to pickup a few +spellpower cards to supplement them. I was pretty skeptical, but the experiment ended at 12-1 from memory.

Back during Naxx or something, I had a friend who drafted 7 flamestrikes. I was watching him and told him it's too many (it's more expensive and more situational than swipe). He still went 12, many games won by back to back flamestrikes, dropping something, then flamestriking and hitting face repeatedly.

I think it's really hard to gauge how good or bad multiple copies of spells can be. When you have enough copies of something, you can start making plays assuming you'll have it when you need it, which makes your tactical plays (trade or go face) tighter. On the other hand, there are possible "death hands" for you to draw, mull 3 flamestrikes into 3 flamestrikes and gg.

with 4 swipes I managed to draw none after I had 12 cards left, not a success :)

My 2 flamestrike run agains shaman... I got no flamestrike with 7 cards left, but my opponent got stealthought from my spellbender and cleaned my board with mine.

Drew N'zoth and playing a deck with Fandral, N'Zoth, Cayrne and Sylvannas. When it works it really works well. The only thing that beats it is brawl, very agro, or bad draws.

Or getting your deathrattles Hexed, entombed or stolen with sylvannas. I'm playing a bog-standard N'Zoth warrior now and am still figuring out the midrange shaman match.

I solved that problem to some extent adding a corrupted healbot, so I have more big deathrattle minions

Corrupted Healbot is a really good card I've been unable to make work in any deck I tried to fit it in :)

WotOG is pretty fun. Been playing pretty much only standard constructed, it's nice that there is no single meta defining deck at the moment, gives the game a lot more variety.
