Argentina shows what happens when Libertarian ideas run a country.

Like I’ve always said: Atlas Shrugged is fiction.

Let’s see, Trump bails out Argentina’s libertarian fiasco with $20 billion. Argentina then cancels its tariffs and sells soy beans to China stealing a huge customer from American farmers.

Yet this fool is who those fools still support.

No one saw that coming? the world is moving on.
Argentina is the planets largest soybean producer.
ooops

Is it time to enact the 25th amendment, could President Vance be any worse?

Yes, Vance could be worse. Trump is predictable; Vance isn’t.

I think some of you believe that a Democratic Party President will help or support you all, the average American. Whereas a Republican Party President will hurt or harm you all.

In my opinion, both Presidential choices will harm you and your self-interest. You all aren't rich enough to deserve their attention; they don't care about the typical American.

That you all are infatuated with the idea of your side winning is what keeps you all voting.

PS: Not a USA bashing post. It's not significantly different in the UK either; our leaders rarely bother to think about us.

I think it's more a question of degree, certainly candidates are not all they claim to be but Trump is extreme in his rhetoric.
Where in the world is it anything other than Dog Eat Dog?

Actually Brazil is the world's largest soybean producer. The US TV docu-entertainment show 60 Minutes had a segment about how Brazil gained a huge share of the soybean market because of Convicted Felon Trump's tariffs on China. Of course, Argentina also exports a huge amount of soybeans to China. Thanks to Convicted Felon Trump, China hasn't bought soybeans from the US, the #2 soybean producer, since May.

Could Vance be any worse than Convicted Felon Trump? Well, history says that Vance will be somewhat restricted in what he does his first term, if he wants to get reelected. Convicted Felon Trump doesn't care if people will vote for him since he can't run again. But in a theoretical 2nd term, Vance could be just as bad as Convicted Felon Trump, or even worse, although it's hard to imagine how.

Democrats passed the Affordable Care Act, that reduced costs for Americans, required minimum coverages, and most importantly, banned the use of pre-existing conditions which health insurance companies used to deny coverage and medical payments. The Democrats also passed the Inflation Reduction Act which caps and lowers prescription drug prices for Medicare patients, allowed Medicare to negotiate directly with drug companies over prices, capped out of pocket expenses, etc. MAGA voted unanimously against both these bills. In addition, MAGA has tried to repeal the ACA since it was passed in 2010, without once producing even an outline of a plan to replace it. Also even though MAGA politicians voted against the IRA, they try to take credit for projects that occur in their local areas and states.

Democrats also support the continued funding of Social Security, and Medicaid. Convicted Felon Trump and his cult members in Congress want to cut Social Security, and gut Medicaid. In red states, some governors go so far as to refuse to spend Medicaid dollars from the Federal government.

Convicted Felon Trump and his cult members in Congress want to give even more trillions in tax cuts to the richest people in the country. To pay for this, they want to cut government programs that help the average citizen. That would constitute hurting and harming the general public by any objective standard.

The Democrats might not be perfect, but they are infinitely better than Convicted Felon Trump, his laughable, sycophantic cabinet, and the elected Republican cowards who are terrified to ever disobey their Convicted Felon of a "leader".
