I've linked the entry thread for each challenge event in the newsfeed for a few days. No point in keeping a permanent news item for this IMO since people can only join during limited periods of time.

No. Challenge event #5 is in progress now (R16 at the moment). After it's over, if someone is willing to organize another event they'll start a new thread to take registrations. And that thread where players can sign up to play will be linked in news for a few days. We don't know yet if and when there will be an event #6.

Suppose it's event n. So far we use

pts from event (n-1)+0.9*pts from event (n-2)+0.8*pts from event (n-3)+...0.1*pts from event (n-11)

any suggestion?
