Hello

I have developed a kind of addiction to this game. Also when I do a mistake by not focusing etc. then I get very frustrated.
I can not play at this site, or any site for that matter any more!!!!

Is there a way for BBO to block me from playing? I need a way for some "outer part" to block me. If I block myself, then I can also unblock myself, so it is not making it good again.

Thank you very much for your concern.

You could also change your name so that you will not know who you are. Try RanSweden.

Possibly you are a bit challenged by high-level thinking Mr Willey.
OP is making a joke. Obviously.

Take your computer, tablet, and phone, and drop them in the toilet. Then, take a hammer and smash the screens. I suggest you take your devices out of the toilet first because you may accidentally smash your toilet if you don't. This will also "cure" any other tech related addictions you may have with respect to those devices.

Start playing poker and when you lost all your money you cannot afford internet any more and your problem is solved.

If you are serious seek help from a professional.

Disconnect High-speed internet and get a 56K Modem.
That should be sufficient pun-ishment.

Your post saddened me. Why do you want to be blocked from here? You're missing out on one of the greatest
card games that was ever devised. If you really don't want to play here anymore then just leave and never return.
Getting blocked would imply you had done something seriously wrong. I really hope you will reconsider and stay with us.

The distractions are most likely because you have temporarily mixed up your priorities. Covid 19 has changed most of our daily lives and most of us are not only worried about not dying from covid 19 but from the added stress of non informative and incompetent government distribution of the various vaccines. For ex: i live in a county where the government covid vaccine website says "Please check back periodically as additional vaccines become available." this msessage has been unchanged in about ten days and contains absolutely zero useful information. Once we get this Covid beast under control the distractions will diminish and you will most likely be able to go back to your usual high level of enjoyment playing arguably the best competitive game in the world.

I am still here. A huge reason to stop playing is also, I have no clue about the game. So I just get devastated from playing and playing, mostly getting low score.
If there is a free - rather cheap way going to some bridge lessons then I could do that, and preferably have some partner I could play with.

Bridge is a very complicated game. Unlike Chess, we can't even say "minutes to learn, lifetime to master", because the basics required to play bridge in any sane way are so much more.

For play, the BridgeMaster deals available on BBO work very well. Note that at your level, level 2 deals may be too complicated, and level 5 is set in a place where world-class experts are expected to be 75-80% on their first try.

For learning the absolute basics (but actually a very good "refresher" grounding for all N/I) are the two interactive lesson series Fred built many years ago, available from the ACBL at https://web3.acbl.or...-learn-software (windows only, need to fill out marketing blurb). They point to a new learn to play bridge site that is much less 2010, but I haven't gone through to see what it actually teaches.

After that, there's many introductory books, and your country's bridge organization will have a list of teachers that can teach the bidding system that is common in your area.
