IMPS, playing Precision, you pass as dealer and partner opens 2♣ (6+♣; 10-15 HCPs; may have another 4+ suit). 2♦ by an UPH would be stronger asking bid, but this is acceptable by a PH. 2♥ is NF constructive with 5+♥.

Hi,
if 64, could the 4 carder be diamonds?
Not playing Precision, but I think I tend to pass.
The 2nd choice would be 2H, but 2D is tempting.
It may come down to, what you hate most, going down in 3C -1
vs. missing a making 4H / 4S.
With kind regards
Marlowe

The trump jack is not chopped liver. Without it, I would've passed.

4+ suit? That is rather unusual. Could you expand on when you are opening 5M-6♣ hands with 2♣ rather than 1M as this is somewhat different from what most will be used to within a Strong Club framework. If partner can easily have a 5 card major, it obviously provides a potential to make this hand grow up fast. I am not sure this is a great change from standard Precision variants though.

The 4+ agreement for a side ♦ suit probably isn't that unusual. In this particular case, partner held the improbable hand, and 4♠ is a stroll in the park:
Qxxxx
x
x
AKQTxx
We discussed whether the hand might be described by 1♠ - <blah> - 3♣, but given the current agreements, 2♣ was a perfectly reasonable bid, especially given the quality of the suit. At the table, my hand chose to pass 2♣ opening.
