Supposedly they were colluding to cheat. Why does one get a longer sentence then the other? They were in to it together I assume?

Not speaking for the ACBL here. Hope that would be obvious.
It seems reasonable (and is, in fact, a factor in deciding sentencing in even legal cases in much of the world) that the more experience and knowledge you have with the issue in question, the harsher the punishments for doing something wrong are (because you are expected to know). Similarly, never mind just monsterpoints, I assume the penalty for someone like me, were that to happen, would be harsher still, as my occasional work as an administrator should also give me more knowledge of "this is wrong".
Also, in cases with multiple offenders, frequently there is a "convinced the other party to join in" that is given more of a penalty than just doing it.
But I would much rather highlight the good things happening in bridge rather than cherry-picking one out of the 1%, as well. So, back to the other threads.
