cue bid defense to Michaels cue bid

opposition bid 2S over my partners 1S opening, Michaels cue bid I presumed, i had 7 or 8 pts with 4Ss headed by the 10. annoyingly stolen my bid so whats the answer : Pass jump to 3S or double? any views on this please.

I think the standard systemation here (at least at Novice/Beginner levels) is that your hand is at the minimum for a constructive raise of 3S (which is not a jump here). With a limit raise you could cue their known suit, so 3H. Double is values with some capacity to punish.

BTW it is better not to presume a meaning: check their system card (if possible) or ask at your turn to call.
