As smerriman says, most of us are increasingly unwilling to complain about GiB, given that hundreds of problems reported here remain unresolved and the latest bout of fixing like others previously seems only to have worsened things (purported improvements to claims aside, and my paid robot refuses to claim even when it has all top winners).

But this one I thought was really worthy of mention.


I'm not used to Lebehsohl rather than Rubensohl, my apologies if there is some way I could have reached the obvious contract of 4♥ here (and if not, please give us a better convention).
But the play is the thing, and even at MP I think the way declarer tackled hearts is very odd indeed, even if South has exposed a long spades suit.

Good play by declarer to hold the contract to down 3. Good thing this contract wasn't doubled.

South showed spades and diamonds (Cappelletti), while North showed lots of points with clubs. To GIB the only possible layout is that North holds 1417 and just carelessly gave away a trick by forgetting to split the heart honors.

Yes I should have figured that. I did hover hopefully over 3♦ and 4♦ but they were about diamonds, and 2NT was explained with the convention name instead of the hands it described.
