The way I often play, 1D is typically 4
Not many, any! club players play transfers over club and unbalanced diamond

6n and I will fully expect my rho to x and cash the first 6 spade tricks dropping partners QJ doubleton. Such is life but with limited agreements 6n is by far the most practical bid.

In this part of "better minor" territory, "the only NGF response to a 2NT rebid is Pass". So 3 is 100% forcing and, if voluntarily bid, should solve most of the "better minor" problem, quiaff?
