Hi everyone!
I've been trying to find out how BBO handles movements for small tournaments.
I am trying to make (clocked) tournaments with approximately 12-14 boards (max 16). The number of tables varies from 3 to 7.
Here are my "Create Tournament" settings for 3 to 5 tables:
3 tables: 15 boards, 3 boards per round, description code: +howell+ (full Howell, 5 rounds x 3 boards)
4 tables: 14 boards, 2 boards per round, description code: +howell+ (full Howell, 7 rounds x 2 boards)
5 tables: 18 boards, 2 boards per round, description code: +howell+ +rounds8+ (3/4 Howell, 8 rounds x 2 boards)
Although +howell+ description code is explained in detail in the guide, I am wondering how regular, clocked (non Howell) movements are handled with small number of tables?
If I set 12 boards, 2 boards per round and 6 tables, I assume all NS pairs will play against all EW pairs.
What happens if the settings are 14 boards; 2boards/round because I was expecting 7 tables but in the end there are only 5 or 6 tables?
Is arrow switch automatically implemented or it needs to be called for as a code in the description field?
Thank you for your answer!
