I'm not one of those who think this is an easy pass: picture partner with KJ10xx xx KJxx xx and we have missed a reasonable vulnerable game, and he sure isn't balancing.
But picture him with Jxx Qxx Jxxx xxx and we have volunteered a big number.
What sways me toward pass is:
1) the downside risk is significantly worse than the upside gain... 1100 against 620
2) when 620 is possible, partner may balance... the double commits us to a disaster when disaster lurks while the pass doesn't completely eliminate the chance of a good score when the hand belongs to us.
But pass in tempo, else you negate the second factor

Or possible Doubass.
That's what I would do, and I guess that makes me a Doumbass.
