Scoring: IMP

(p)-p-(1N)*-?

Assuming you have some way to show either a one suited hand, or both majors (and most people probably do), do you treat this as a one-suited hand, or do you show both majors?

Why?
Is the word "pass" not in your vocabulary?
So many experts, not enough X cards.

Does 4 show a one-suiter?
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

Definitely 4.
Right for tactical reasons - let them misjudge. Right because we want to play in spades to control the tap.

Anything but 4S is strange, to say the least.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

Both suits.

It helps, that spades is the 7 card suit, it would be more problematic
if it would be hearts, ... I can always bid 4S, but the 2-suiter may help
p to decide what to do at the 5 level.

With kind regards
Marlowe

PS: The above assumes, I have a forcing bid to show the majors, say
I am playing Capp., what I wont bid is 2H - which would be the bid playing
DONT.
With kind regards

I would just bid 4 to minimize the information given to the opponents.

bidding 2 minor to show both majors is an attempt to play 2 minor on these cards
