Partner could have 5+ but be too weak to bid them at the 2 level. 2 for now and see what happens...

Assuming partner's double just shows , IMO 2 = 10, 2 = 9, 2 = 8, 3 = 5.

2 to start.

Good trumps, ruffing value, and a pretty good side suit.

I would like to be able to start with 2. I'm not sure why rho didn't raise to some number of spades. I suppose maybe lho has six and partner also has a few. Anyway I expect more spade bids and I would really like to bid 2 now and compete with 3 later, offering a choice. Unfortunately, I doubt partner would read it that way. Nonetheless, I think I will try it.

2H seems kinda legit at matchpoints. Not sure, interesting hand, I'd like to think I can 140 them or something and beat diamonds (or hopefully 110 and not lose to diamonds. As kenberg says, RHO didn't raise spades, so it's fairly likely partner has some length there, and also somewhat likely he has some points, so I think 2H might play well.

Fluffy i know mine and your styles are very different from each other but i didnt understand what u meant here. Do you wanna play 1 doubled or do you wanna bid 1NT ? Both sounds very... unusual choices to me.

I'm wondering where all the spades are? It sounds like partner may have a bunch of them along with his hearts, are you going to be able to ruff them AND draw trumps playing in ?

Probably pard has some spades, yes. That means he probably has no 5 hearts, so I'm going with 3D here.

Really, it's 3D wtp for me.
