2. If 3♥ is preemptive, do you x?

I'd double in either case. With a void and at least 4-card support for each unbid suit, I think it's clear-cut.

I would double at any vulnerability and it's not close. A limit raise is not always based on high cards.

I would double for sure regardless of the meaning of 3♥. A void is great for offense and the idea here is to be able to have pd bid 4♠ over their 4♥ or esp. at this vul 5m if he lacks ♠. Of course, we also might make game here helped by our void.
