So there was this hand vs Driver733 which resulted in an 18 Imps difference:

[/color]comments

I made a takeout dbl after 4H trying to find either 4S or 5D. The robot described it as a takeout bid but still passed, despite holding only 2 insignificant hearts.

Unfortunately, I lost the match by a whopping 48 Imps so cant really pass off my ineptitude on the robot :P , but just wanted to understand if there is some logic / algorithm used by the robot that I have not fully grasped.

In other games with the robot, I often find myself in situations wanting to double for penalty but not doing so because the robot understands/describes the bid as take-out. So I do feel like there is something very basic about robot's penalty vs takeout dbls that I am not comprehending well. Can someone please help?

Thanks

Sorry Stephen Tu, I missed this thread and somehow also your challenge (I was online on Saturday, but I guess not at the right time). I tried to bullet my way through the boards in 10 minutes, but only managed 11/16. What should we do? I'm happy to forfeit the match, it was my responsibility to be more alert. Sorry again!!
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Gwnn, since you were winning with the 5 boards to go, how about just a fresh 16 bd rematch and toss that one out, I think normally IMP penalty for unplayed boards would even the match anyway?

I definitely agree to this. And sorry again. Too bad that the non-bullet mode gwnn will never get such a good performance :)
