I have been trying now for many months to reach 90% completion rate. I am nearly there but it seems to be virtually impossible. I was around 75-80 in August and have climbed to almost 90 now. I forgot how the tcr is calculated but it must be possible to reach back to 90%?

It's calculated from the tourneys you've played in in the last 60 days. The tournaments that count are human-only tournaments and Robot Duplicates; daylong tourneys and instant duplicates don't count.

As of this morning you'd played in 58 eligible tourneys, and dropped out of 7 of them. One of the dropouts was yesterday's "GOULASH EXPRESS" tourney; you only played the first 8 boards of 9.

It’s hard if you get kicked out of BBO a lot. When you log back in, you can’t return to the tournament, at least if it’s a free one.

I play a lot of Express tourneys, a few a day and managed 100% TCR once. It only takes one thing to ruin a run within a 60 period, be it a powercut, lag, a delivery, an important phone call or even me totally forgetting to play when in another browser tab or making food. I wrote a desktop alarm app that will go off when a tourney starts to help with that.

Someone told me that a quick way to up your tourney record is to sub....if you are lucky you sub as the tourney is nearly finishing and because you play to the end that helps your tourney completion rate. It means you can play alot of tourneys in a day, not to mention getting into the TD's good books. I did it and it seemed to work!

That's one of the things TCR is intended to measure. If you get disconnected frequently you're more likely to get disconnected again, disrupting the tournament.

It's not just for punishing people who bail intentionally.

TCR stands for TOURNAMENT COMPLETION RATE Play as many tournaments as you can(including the fee paying ones) and play them out. Don't be tempted to "run" or abandon
if you're doing badly. The more tournaments you complete, the higher your TCR will climb.

It is frustrating when I drop the connection and get booted before I can get back. Other times I wait and wait for RHO and get booted. Then the time warning shows up. I'd ask for a refund but I don't think it would be worth the trouble.
