BBO went out of their way to consult the membership on the new logo.
Who the heck did they consult for the photo?
Did they even look at the ethnicity of their membership? How does this reflect the online nature of BBO and the diversity of the membership?

As far as I know the picture changes, there are some 3-4 images which rotate randomly.

I guess I have been unlucky then. Never seen that image.

FWIW, I've always thought that the login screen was ridiculous based on class rather than race / ethnicity.
Mighty small demographic that they're chasing

The view on my screen (iMac) highlights the dark haired woman's cleavage at the bottom the screen. Might do something for me if I was a guy but .......

How does one look at the diversity of online membership?

Profile pics? Mine's a cute little kitten.

Assumption based on surname? (Good luck placing a name like Martin)

Voluntary submission of chosen ethnicity?

Assume it matches the demographics of today's youth? That skews wildly from ACBL membership and presumably from BBO membership as well.

Go with the Toronto approach, in which all advertising assumes their area represents the ethnic makeup of everywhere else in the country?

Do you have a better solution that reflects the reality of BBO?

I guess I am unlucky - I don't get the cleavage on my pictures. Must be some BBO improvement that uses users' demographics and has decided that I am under 18
