There is no way to close the popup windows using Microsoft Edge, the x (close button in top right corner) is not there.

If you are talking about the explanation popup windows, the x is not there in any browser, unfortunately.
And the button is not to dismiss the window either (it creates a new popup window for the explainer).
To dismiss the window you must click anywhere else within the window, such as on the message itself.

As we say in the software business when there isn't a good explanation, "that's a feature, not a bug!!!"

When you pull up the results to a Speedball in Firefox and Chrome there certainly is and X to close the popup...not so much in Microsoft Edge. Do I really need to post a screencap???????
I have quit out of BBO and log back every time to get rid of it.

Yes, that would certainly help. The close button shows perfectly fine for me in Edge for popup results of tournaments.

It would be interesting if a difference existed since the new version of Edge uses Chrome as the basis for its browser functionality.

EWW= a giant step backwards
Suppose you could try Netscape if it bugs you that much.
Jim Clark would be delighted.
