new policy $BBO dollars your personal infomation at risk

Been buying BBO dollars for 14 years. New surprise policy when you go to use your Credit Card. They now want you to fill in "ALL" your personal details! Your "address' your
"PHONE" number. Has I scrolled though the blanks I wondered was I re-applying for Social Security? So I went and read the highlighted button that says "our privacy policy.
When you get to the 3rd section in what they allow themselves to do with your information. It becomes clear. "THEY ARE SELLING IT " . no more credit card and email to buy
BBO dollars. This is the latest in the last 6 months of 2 dozen different price hikes and gimmicks they are pulling across their platform. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS? WRITE
TO THE MANAGEMENT AT support@bbo.com and say so. And please take a stand and refuse to buy anymore BBO dollars until they come back down to planet earth. "opaque" 2009

Out of interest, where does it says in the privacy policy they are selling this info? I had a look and everything in there looked normal to me.

I understand your concern, and I want to clarify that BBO has not changed the payment process. The same billing information has always been requested when making a credit card purchase.

The details you see at checkout are standard for online transactions and are required by the payment processor, not BBO, to securely process payments. The only information requested is:

Email – Used for payment confirmation and receipts.
Billing Address (country, city, and zip code) – This is a standard requirement for credit card verification. If you prefer, you can enter a general location (e.g., just your town).


Important clarifications:
  • This information goes directly to the payment processor for verification and issuing a receipt.
  • BBO does not store, sell, or use this information for anything else.
  • Your credit card details are never saved by BBO—they go straight to the payment processor.
  • If you never purchase BB$, we never ask for this information.

While the layout of the page has changed relatively recent (new "BBO Store" was launched in 2023 or so), the required payment details remain the same as they have always been.
