2 is a multi, weak only, 3-9 5+ cards in a major, how do you approach this ?

same multi opened opposite

Your responses are 2 to play opposite hearts or bid 2, 2 to play opposite spades, or bid showing hearts, 2N strong ask, suit and range, 3m forcing, after 2-2-2 only 2N is discussed.

Partner will not be 5-4 in the majors as we play Ekren, but could be 6-4

These are problem hands for regular multi systems. Personally I have several tools at my disposal over a multi to deal with these hand types, precisely because these hands opposite can be so awkward otherwise. I'm curious to see what other commenters will try.

On the second hand I think a 2 signoff is the best option, though I'd forgive blasting 3NT (though I don't expect that to score well on balance).

good problem

Fortunately, we are still protected from that nasty convention.

Heh, now's the time that we play 2 undoubled off a few with 6 on on the 11-card fit, but still getting a good score because even though 6x is a good sacrifice, 400 still beats 500 (or 500 beats 800). Right? :-)

We play 2D (P) 3C as showing ‘my own suit, partner…invite plus’. I intend, over the forced 3D, to bid 3H. Can’t show both suits.

On the second, easy 2S.sure, might miss 3N or even 4S opposite a max, but partner usually disappoints.

We play Kit Woolsey's methods, so 2 - (P) - 3 in inv+ with hearts with step responses; a 3 response shows 0-1, 3 shows 2, 3+ showing more.

Without such methods I'll bid 2 followed by 3 on the first hand to show inv+ with hearts.

The second one is a simple 2 opposite a first-in-hand non-vulnerable multi. I would worry more opposite a second-in-hand vulnerable multi but make the same choice.

The second one, my partner DID bid 2 which made with an overtrick, but 2N is the winner at the table, partner had a max with AJxxx, Q10x, x, J10x, of course N has A9 so 3N makes easily.

The first one I bid 2-2-2-3 which I figured was likely to show clubs and hearts as with clubs only and a decent hand I could bid 3, there I played.

Partner's hand was AKxxx, J, xxxx, xxx

5 is not good but does make even with the two rounds of diamonds they played at me, another declarer was in 5x and didn't get the diamond lead so made easily.
