On an unrelated note, IMO, limited openings are better served by a semi-forcing NT, but I digress.

C3: Copious Canape Club is still my favorite system. (Ultra upgraded, PM for notes)
Santa Fe Precision ♣ published 8/19. TOP3 published 11/20. Magic experiment (Science Modernized) with Lenzo. 2020: Jan Eric Larsson's Cottontail ♣. 2020. BFUN (Bridge For the UNbalanced) 2021: Weiss Simplified ♣ (Canape & Relay). 2022: Canary ♣ Modernized, 2023-4: KOK Canape.

Not sure whether this hand qualifies even for 1♠ followed by 3♠.
Not every hand with 6 spades and 14-15 HCP qualifies for 3♠.
The singleton ♦K and lack of aces suggests rebidding 2♠.

No opens 1S; yes opens 1C to rebid 1S over presumed 1D.

I'm also okay with the strong club.

Consider KQJXXX KQX X KJX which is a clear 1♠ opener.
This hand is much worse.

Side point that this is posted as a Precision question (using hcps ostensibly) and not a relay question, but folks who use reverse relays and hope to pattern this hand have the additional consideration that this opening hand may be deficient in queen/relay points or controls. For us, 1C doesn't necessarily denote a stronger hand than 1S but one with usually a higher QP total.
