If rho indeed began with xxx void xxxxx xxxxx and PASSED I will stand up and applaud them and make certain they get their name in print somewhere for such far sighted thinking (and then I will bow out from this level of competition because frankly that is just too good)

Given that West has good and long diamonds (no raise by East with a hypothetical void in hearts or clubs) I would be much more inclined to suppress a five card club suit than a five card major, even a poor one.
Anyway East would probably have doubled with either void so West is much more likely to be void than East.
